ZOAT 2026: A Weekend of Competition, Connection & Celebration.
Over three days, teams from across Asia come together for hockey, networking, social events, and unforgettable experiences across
Hong Kong.
For the early arrivals, Friday morning is all about PADEL. Hosted at a truly unique venue featuring six courts, the ZOAT Padel Tournament promises a full day of action, competition and plenty of matches. Expect group stages, cross-finals and fierce battles as we compete for the very first silverware of the weekend!
After the final points have been played, it's time to freshen up at to the ZOAT hotel. As hockey-only participants arrive from in the afternoon, the atmosphere starts to build. Reconnect with old friends, meet new opponents and “proost” into the weekend over your first beers!
As tradition dictates, the official opening of ZOAT 2026 takes place at the Residence of the Dutch Consul General. The Dutch residence in Hong Kong is a truly special place: a beautiful historic house dating back to the British colonial era. Every year, this event marks the moment when ZOAT really begins. Enjoy Dutch bites and cold Heineken beers to warm up for a great weekend!
It's a relaxed and welcoming start to the weekend ahead. And a reminder that ZOAT has always been about much more than hockey.
Saturday is where ZOAT truly shifts into top gear. From early morning, Happy Valley becomes the stage for a full day of competitive hockey. Expect fast-paced matches on artificial turf(!), officiated by professional umpires who keep the games safe(!), fair, flowing and fiercely contested. Whether you're chasing the title or simply giving everything for your team, this is what you've travelled across Asia for.
Throughout the day, there is another unique ZOAT touch. Olympic hockey players will be around the pitches and available to hire as guest players, with all proceeds going to charity. It is a rare opportunity to share the field with some of the sport's very best, while supporting a good cause at the same time.
As the final whistles blow and the sun begins to set, the energy slowly shifts. The hockey gear disappears, showers are taken, and conversations about missed chances and wonder goals turn into stories at the bar.
Then, Saturday night takes over. We'll bring you to a venue that showcases Hong Kong in a way few visitors ever experience. The kind of place you'll still be talking about long after the weekend is over. The drinks start flowing, the dance floor fills up, and an incredible live band sets the tone for what has become one of ZOAT's most legendary traditions: the Saturday night theme party.
As for this year's theme? And the band that will keep the party going deep into the night? You'll have to be a little more patient. Trust us: they're worth the wait.
The group stages are behind us, the legs are a little heavier, and every match suddenly carries extra weight: it's time for the knockout stages. Win, and you move one step closer to the final. Lose, and your ZOAT campaign comes to an end.
The finals are what everyone has been building towards all weekend: packed sidelines, tired bodies finding one last burst of energy, and teams leaving absolutely everything out on the pitch. This is where memories are made and stories earn their place in ZOAT folklore. And as for the host city, Hong Kong, a frustrating new tradition has emerged: somehow, when the dust settles, Singapore always seems to find a way to leave with the trophy. Which team can finally break the spell?
Following the finals, everyone gathers for the prize giving, the charity presentation and a final round of drinks until late!
So:
Don’t fly home on Sunday! Book your return for Monday, all!
